Into Action Group  /  About Us

About Us

Love, put to work.

The Into Action Group exists to inspire spiritual growth through love, service, and fellowship. We seek to help every person recognize their infinite worth to an all-loving God.

What we do

Since 2025 we have gathered on Saturday mornings in Northeast Ohio to read a book together and talk honestly about what it asks of us.

Our workshops are open to anyone — newcomers, families, friends, and anyone curious about a spiritual way of living. There is no cost to attend. A basket is passed in the spirit of our Seventh Tradition, and those contributions fund the next gathering. That is the whole model, and it has carried us from a church hall in Mentor to a hall in Cleveland that seats a thousand.

Our Mission

To create spaces where people can explore spiritual principles, share experience, and take action toward a life of deeper meaning and connection — rooted in the principles of our fellowship and in timeless works such as The Greatest Thing in the World.

Our Vision

A community where no one doubts their worth. We gather in ordinary rooms — a church hall, a fellowship room, and in 2027 a hall in Cleveland that seats a thousand — and we do the same thing in each: study, share, and carry it forward.

Our Tagline

Helping God's Children See Their Infinite Worth. It is the sentence we measure our work against. If a workshop, a panel, or a weekend does not serve that, we do it differently next time.

  • Love in Action We believe love is the greatest spiritual principle, and we strive to live it daily.
  • Service & Fellowship We grow by helping others and walking together on the spiritual path.
  • Inclusivity & Respect All are welcome, regardless of background or belief.
  • Spiritual Growth Through Action Faith without works is dead. We encourage practical application of spiritual principles.
  • Self-Supporting We remain free from outside influence, supported entirely by voluntary contributions.

About Into Action Group

Into Action Group exists to inspire spiritual growth through love, service, and fellowship while helping people recognize their infinite worth and value. Our mission is rooted in spiritual principles commonly found in Alcoholics Anonymous and similar recovery communities, while remaining open and respectful to people from all backgrounds and beliefs.

Into Action Group is not affiliated with any religion, sect, denomination, political organization, or outside institution. We do not permit third-party organizations to promote themselves or maintain representative booths at our events. Our goal is to create a welcoming environment focused on spiritual growth, fellowship, service, and personal transformation.

While our inspiration comes from principles expressed in Alcoholics Anonymous literature, Into Action Group is an independent organization and our events are not Alcoholics Anonymous sanctioned events. It is common for members of Alcoholics Anonymous and related fellowships to organize independent events that support spiritual growth and fellowship.

At this time, Into Action Group partners with an existing charitable organization to help host and manage events. We may eventually establish Into Action Group as an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Our Twelve Steps, when simmered down to the last, resolve themselves into the words “love” and “service.” We understand what love is, and we understand what service is. So let's bear those two things in mind.
